Retail MIHNATI job-linked training programme
The objective of this programme is to provide Emiratis with the opportunity to gain conditional employment offers from Emiratisation Task Force for Retail (ETFR) company members. These offers will be converted to full-time employment upon successful completion of the programme; which lasts 9 weeks in total (including 3 retail work placements and 3 field trips). The Emirates Nationals Development Programme is the main supporter of the programme. With 8 retail companies currently in the ETFR and more joining in 2007, the industry has managed to increase the level of UAE Nationals in this key sector.

Industry Skills Centres for UAE National Employees in the Private Sector
UAEN Industry Skills Centres are being set up to develop currently employed Emiratis within the private sector, via specialist training/international professional certification. Industry specific skills centres will be established starting with hotels through TAFE South Australia, and retail through the National Retail Federation. Subsequently, other private sector industry sectors will be added and linked to appropriate international professional certification.

The Centre provides the following Emiratisation consultancy services to the private sector, among others:

• Emiratisation systems implementation within a private sector industry
• Customised consulting services for internal implementation within specific private sector companies
• Coaching & Mentoring courses for non-UAE-national managers and supervisors
• Personal success skills workshops, mentee and coachee workshops for UAE National employees in private sector companies
