   | | | | Centre for Emiratisation R&D Overview The Centre for Emiratisation R&D at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management was set up in 2002. In 2002, 2003 and 2004, the Centre initiated, developed and ran the Hospitality Industry Career Development Summer Programme (CDSP) in association with the Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and hotel companies. Then, in 2005, the Centre initiated, developed and launched - in association with the DTCM, Tanmia and hotel companies - the Hospitality MAHARAT (HM) training programme, targeted at UAE National job seekers wishing to join the hotel sector. Since starting the HM, the Centre has now run, in association with the DTCM, ENDP & Tanmia, eight HM programmes, and trained over 300 UAE Nationals for the hospitality sector in Dubai. |

  | Following on from the success of the HM, in 2007 the Centre initiated, developed and launched the Retail MIHNATI (RM) training programme, in association with the ENDP and retail companies, targeted at UAE National job seekers wishing to join the retail sector. So far two RMs have been run and over 50 UAE Nationals have been trained for the retail sector in Dubai. Furthermore, the Centre recently initiated, developed and launched an English/Work Readiness (EWR) programme in association with the ENDP. Each year the Centre plans to run four HMs, four RMs and eight EWRs, which will see over a thousand UAE Nationals trained for the private sector each year henceforth. In addition to the above training programmes targeted at UAE National job seekers, the Centre undertakes research, training and consultancy projects for private sector companies in the UAE. The Centre is currently undertaking a number of consultancy projects for major UAE private sector companies, in addition to consultancy assignments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt. | |
