Since 1833, the reigning Al Maktoum family have ruled Dubai. Under their leadership, Dubai has prospered and it is now the business and tourism hub for the region. His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is now UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Continuing the Maktoum tradition of progressive leadership, Sheikh Mohammed is the driving force behind Dubai’s fast climb to become one of the major cities in the world. Sheikh Mohammed is the patron of Jumeirah and The Emirates Academy.
