Is The Academy accredited?
The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management is recognised by the higher education authorities in the UAE, UK and Australia. In addition, the ongoing academic association with world-renowned hospitality school, Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne, continues to enhance the quality of all study programmes.
United Arab Emirates
The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management is licensed and fully accredited by The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the United Arab Emirates. The Ministry's accreditation standards conform to the highest international criteria and students from accredited programmes are considered eligible for transfer and progression to other universities worldwide.
Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), is the world’s oldest and most reputable hospitality management school. In addition, EHL is recognized by the Swiss government as part of Switzerland’s University of Applied Sciences and internationally, it is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). This academic association with EHL provides The Academy’s students with unrivalled advantages in the hospitality industry.
United Kingdom-based IOH is a global professional institute that promotes high standards within the hospitality industry. It is a licensed benchmarking and accreditation agency for the U.K.’s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). All academic programmes conducted at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management are accredited by the IOH according to its hospitality framework and hence are Bologna-compliant. The Academy is also an international approved centre of the IOH, offering the Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Specialist Diploma in Management for International Hospitality and Tourism.
Australian-based international accreditation body, THE-ICE has assessed the curriculum development and review process; teaching and learning approach; staffing resources and facilities of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management and determined that it has met international benchmarks of Standards of Excellence. By being an accredited member, The Academy joined the ranks of an exclusive group of institutions which include public universities, private hotel schools and vocational colleges from more than 10 countries.
Council of International Schools
The Council of International Schools is a not-for-profit membership association of schools and post-secondary institutions. CIS defines standards and provides services that support the continuous improvement of international education. The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management is a Higher Education Institution member of the Council of International Schools.
Dubai Quality Awards
The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management has been awarded the highly prestigious Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme Award, in recognition of its commitment to quality and superior standards. This is the only DQAP award given to an educational institution in 2010 and it affirms The Academy's commitment to delivering the best standards, which at the same time continually improving internal operations and educational provisions.
How many intakes do you have and what are the application deadlines?
We have 3 intakes a year in January, April or September for the Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science (Hons.) programme and applications are accepted either Online or via Email. Please also visit our download centre for the Brochures, Application form, Fee structure and other related documents.

As the Master of Science programme adopts a modular system, students can start during most parts of the year but typically, students will follow the 3 intakes in January, April or September.
Do you offer scholarships?
There are three types of scholarships that are being offered to potential students who intend to pursue the ASc / BSc degree:
1. The EAHM Scholarship for Emirati Nationals
This is a scholarship awarded annually to Emirati national candidates who meet The Academy’s entrance criteria and who can demonstrate a strong commitment to the hospitality industry as a career choice. For successful applicants, tuition fees and sundries will be covered for the duration of study. However, recipients will be required to work for up to an average of 8 hours per week, on projects specified by EAHM. Upon graduation, scholarship recipients will assume full time and continuous employment with Jumeirah International LLC for a period of at least 2 years.
2. The EAHM Scholarship for Academic Excellence
This is a scholarship awarded annually to incoming (1st year) students of any nationality who have demonstrated academic excellence in high school results (usually straight “As”), is experiencing financial hardship and who can demonstrate a strong commitment to the hospitality industry as a career choice. For successful applicants, tuition fees and sundries will be either fully or partially covered for the duration of study. However, recipients will be required to work for up to an average of 8 hours per week, on projects specified by EAHM. Upon graduation, scholarship recipients will assume full time and continuous employment with Jumeirah International LLC for a period of at least 2 years.
3. The EAHM-Ronnefeldt Scholarship
This is a scholarship awarded annually to incoming (1st year) students of German nationality who have demonstrated academic excellence in high school results (usually straight “As”), or has achieved sporting excellence and can demonstrate a strong commitment to the hospitality industry as a career choice. For successful applicants, tuition fees and sundries will be either fully or partially covered for the duration of study. However, recipients will be required to work for up to an average of 8 hours per week, on projects specified by EAHM or Ronnefeldt. Further terms and conditions may apply on a case by case basis.
To apply for the Scholarship, the applicant should include a letter within when submitting the Application stating the intent to apply for the scholarship and justification of why he/she should receive it. In addition, two completed Evaluation / Reference forms must be submitted as well.

What are the tuition fees?
Do you offer flexible payment plans?
YES. In order to assist in the easy payment of Tuition Fees, The Academy offers 3 flexible payment options:
1) For the Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science (Hons.) programme, payment of fees in advance of each trimester is possible (i.e. Full payment of fees for the entire duration of the programme need not be made upfront). For the Master of Science programme, the amount of fees will depend on the number of modules taken.
2) If you decide to make full payment of one year's mandatory academic fees in advance before the start of the first trimester of each year, a 3% discount will be awarded.
3) If you decide to make full payment of three years' mandatory academic fees (for the BSc programme) in advance before the start of the first trimester, a 10% discount will be awarded.

Where would they stay and what dining options are there?
Fully furnished on-campus single studio accommodation consisting of an en-suite bathroom, kitchen, bed/study room and regular linen change is available.
The accommodation fee for students is AED 135 per night.
There are 3 restaurants on-campus serving a variety of different cuisines. There are also a number of restaurants located in the Jumeirah Hotels which are all within walking distance.
Food and living expenses will vary between individual students depending on lifestyle choices. However, on average, a student is expected to spend about AED 1,000 - AED 1,500 per month if all meals are taken on-campus.
