Course Overview
This French course addresses the language needs of professionals working in the hotel and tourism industries, where the French language plays a predominant role. In the French-Beginners course the trainees will learn the basics of the French language. They will learn communicate in French. The focus is placed on verbal and written communication. Grammar is explained when necessary but only when it is likely to facilitate the learning. The course is taught in a concise and comprehensible fashion with an emphasis on the culture, traditions, cuisine and geography of France and Francophone countries. The main language of lecture delivery is French. However, English may sometimes be used to explain grammar and/or cultural elements. Trainees are encouraged to make an active oral contribution and extend their knowledge of French through personal study.
Target Audience
Beginners and fake-beginners: the course covers the primary elements of the language and introduces basic topics. It also includes revision as trainees may have acquired some knowledge of French in their previous studies.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, trainees will be able to understand, read, write and speak French to a beginner level and in relation to the Hotel and Tourism industries.

Course Material
The course fee includes everything required for the class work including notebooks, articles, note-paper and pencils. They are also issued with a course pack. The pack contains a text book, an exercise booklet and audio CDs.

The course does not require any prerequisites.
Certification
A Certificate of Proficiency will be issued by The Emirates Academy.

Instruction materials & refreshments are included in the course fee. Accommodation and transportation are not included in the "Course Fees".
