Academy graduates are equipped for jobs in a wide variety of industries, including hotels, restaurants, airlines, events management organizations, cruise lines, amusement centres, government tourism planning departments, museums, service business consultancies, sports organisations, travel agents and tour operators, and many more.

As well as the traditional hospitality and tourism positions, Academy graduates have the skills necessary for jobs in Finance & Accounting, Marketing & PR, Facilities Management, Human Resource Management, Procurement, Strategic Management & Planning, Quality Assurance - the possibilities are unlimited.

As of 2007, The Emirates Academy has graduated three classes of students. Finding a job seems to be no problem if you are an Academy graduate! Many are working in Dubai, with about a third in Norway, the US, UK and elsewhere. Jumeirah actively recruits Academy graduates, as do other leading international hotel companies.

Student profiles

Torunn Tronsvang, class of 2007, is Assistant Manager, Quality, for Mina A’ Salam and the Souk at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. A Norwegian, Torunn was the top student in her graduating class.

Emily Riggans, class of 2005, secured a job as a Management Trainee with Jumeirah Essex House in New York City. She is British.

Egyptian Shady Hassan, class of 2005, is a Management Trainee in the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
